Strawberry Coconut Sea Salt Hand Scrub

We use our hands almost every second of our lives. We put them through so much, so why not pamper them with this awesome  easy to make hand scrub recipe.

What I love about this recipe is that not only is it fun to make, but  it only contains 3 ingredients and all three of them are super affordable and you will find them in most convenience stores.

  • 1 cup coconut oil
  • 1 cup sea salt (optional to add more salt)
  • 1 chopped strawberry

A few years ago I was introduced to coconut oil and it completely changed my life. I use it for everything. Coconut oil is filled with  proteins that will keep your skin healthy and rejuvenated both internally and externally. It also contains Vitamin E, which keeps skin smooth and protects it from cracking.

I have been buying this one from TJ for a couple of years now and I find it affordable and  long lasting.

Our second ingredient is the coarse sea salt. Sea salt is great for our skin because  it contains minerals that help enhance the skin, and they also remove dead skin cells.

For my body scrubs I like to buy the coarse sea salt but feel free to try both fine and coarse.

Last ingredient is my all time favorite fruit: Strawberries. Not only am I obsessed with eating strawberries but I am also obsessed on using them for my skin regime.

I love the strawberries because it gives the scrub a pink color but it also adds some freshness to it and a beautiful smell. Strawberries contain cleansing properties  as well as exfoliants so adding it to the mix is perfect but don’t be afraid to experiment with a fruit of your choice!

Share with me what your favorite fruit is and I will investigate an awesome recipe for you!
